1. Works just as should. Went in easy enough. I did replace all old disposal part with provided new ones as old ones looked, well, old. Could have been a 10 min swap otherwise, as all mounting was the same as my old badger. Quieter and more power than old loud badger 200. Better warranty also. Was on 3rd Insinkerator/ Badger 200 POS. Hopefully this lasts longer, but seems better built. Good unit, quiet-ish, easy install, came with cord, fittings and all parts for install. Grinds well and drains fine. Good buy for money all day. 2. This was the easiest install ever. Bought it to replace a broken insinkerator and I was able to just twist off the old one and twist in the waste maid! The only problem is that it came with incredibly cheap screws and one of which broke off while screwing it in, so only half the the part that holds it down is screwed in, but the rubber seal thing it comes with makes that a non factor. Everything is working A'OK.
3. This Waste Maid 458 Deluxe Disposer is a great upgrade from the 1/2 hp Insinkerator disposal it replaced. It has 3/4 HP and it's quieter too! It also was fairly easy to install. Just follow all the instructions given. It also comes with it's own cord already attached. (Unlike the ones you get at the home improvement box stores.) I also love the fact that it comes with a "10" year warranty instead of 1 or 3!
