Vizsla Duet Door Knocker
(or, Two Heads are
Better than One!), individually
lost wax cast in Bronze.  VERY RARE!
I have just
started these, in response to LOTS of requests from my clients for Larger
Door Knockers, so very few have EVER been made!
Brackets extend downward from a
pair of heads, which support the 5/8" diameter rod about 1 1/2" from the wall.  The
round finials make an elegant ending to the rod, and prevents it from pulling
out, unless you unscrew the finials, which extend about 1 3/8" beyond each end
of the rod.  The Swiveling Knocker hangs from the middle of the rod, with a
sturdy striker at the bottom, that contacts the strike plate beneath: "bone"
shaped, in the case of dogs, and oval for other animals.  The height of the
full piece varies depending on the Head that is used.  They are about 5
1/2" - 6 1/2" high by 5 1/2" wide (14 cm - 16.5 cm x 14 cm).
The
pieces are quite substantial and suitable for exterior doors. Oval head screws
are provided to fit in the holes in the brackets and the strike plate.

Very few of these have EVER
been made!  I am making more dogs and animals in this format, and you might
consider getting more.  Please let me know if you are looking for an animal or
dog that I have not yet made!  I am the ONLY one who makes these.
Any of these items are also available
with a coppery brown patina, or with nickel plating.  There is a small fee
for adding a patina and an additional charge for nickel plating.  Bright
(shiny) nickel plating is less expensive than satin, and either take additional
time as the pieces have to be sent out for plating.  Please contact me for
