Produced by the Libbey Glass Company, Circa: 1889. The White Colored Maize was made in Toledo, Ohio.
Very Good Condition with a small flea on a corn cornel.
Victorian Pewter Lid in Very Good Condition with some wear from age.
According to the Lechner's Book, "The World of Salt Shakers Second Edition", Page 111:
This is an "Outstanding Rarity", as this Shaker is from "Libbey Maize Art Glass Condiment" Set. It doesn't have the usual Husk Foliage on the shaker, because the the Base of the Condiment Set has the Green Leaf Foliage. There was the only known Condiment Set, at the time of the book printing, and it belonged to the Lechners. They go on to say, "Many collectors might ignore any shakers that have become separated from the original condiment set. Even if such a type of shaker is purchased there is high probability that the new owner will not realize that he / she has acquired a rate piece of Maize Art Glass."
