This item in my EBAY store is a FENTON GREEN CARNIVAL GLASS  "FENTON THISTLE"  LARGE OVAL FTD. "BANANA BOAT".   This Fenton green "THISTLE" large oval ftd. "banana boat" is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom that is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, & no glass staining;   I want to mention that the two side footed feet on this "banana boat" has a ground bottom that can be seen in the photos, I am no glass authority but due to the condition of this "banana boat" I am convinced this was done during the production process, my opinion and you can have yours, e-mails are always welcome;
I may add that this FENTON GREEN CARNIVAL GLASS  "FENTON THISTLE"  LARGE OVAL FTD. "BANANA BOAT" is an early vintage FENTON antique glass "banana boat" that has been used and displayed over a number of years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, the couple of people who have once owned this large American beauty surely cherrished this "banana boat" according to the condition this "FENTON THISTLE" "banana boat" remains in today, this large "banana boat" that I have here has NO FENTON LOGO MARKING stamped into the glass of this "THISTLE" ftd. "banana boat";   This "FENTON THISTLE""banana boat" that I have here does have the early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass making process of having stress marks, straw marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass as does this "banana boat" that I have here, these characteristics are from the production of this "FENTON THISTLE""banana boat" and is not considered damage, all of this info I just mentioned to you is all shown in my numerous photos taken but any questions at all please e-mail me;   This "THISTLE" large oval beauty has the famous "WATER LILY & CATTAILS" pattern as the outside secondary pattern, Fenton & Northwood, both companys produced this "WATER LILY & CATTAILS" pattern, this FENTON pattern has a "beading" in the pattern around the "oval" outside bottom of this "banana boat";   This "FENTON THISTLE" "banana boat" can be found in the colors of marigold, amethyst, blue and of course green;   You can see this much sought after "FENTON THISTLE" pattern in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by, "Edwards & Carwile" who show and talk about this "FENTON THISTLE" pattern in their book, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION, on page #347;   I've taken numerous(all) photos outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass iridescence, & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.   When using a cell phone or mobile device please click on "see full description" to see more photos and measurements;   Insurance is bought at the USPS at the time of shipment to you, the cost is .25 for the shipping and .75 for the insurance, any over paid shipping cost will be returned to you the BUYER;   All stickers on MY FENTON green carnival glass  "FENTON THISTLE"  large oval ftd.
