Description
This listing is for a vintage ROBBY THE ROBOT CONSTRUCTION ROLLER made in Japan in the 1950s by Daiya. One of the rarest robot toys of that era, it measures approximately 12 inches long and made of tin with rubber claws and clear engine covers. The toy still works and displays well, but has several issues. Specifically, the claws are decent replacements and the left engine cover has a hairline crack (they are made of thin plastic). Cosmetically, the toy is well used with paint chips and light surface rust. The battery box is clean. Still works great with nice action--Robby rolls around "bump and go" style with lighted engine and moving pistons. Very feisty! The Robby Construction Roller is normally very pricey, and this one is listed accordingly, based on condition. Thanks for looking!
